ARCHIBUS Version 16.3 Delivers Improved User Interface, Drill-down Function, Integration, Room Reservation Capabilities and More

ARCHIBUS features and functionality continue to evolve based on the input of end-users who require new and better search and analysis features on existing applications, an improved user interface, and more powerful and broader web-enabled and system integration capabilities.

This year brings dramatic advances in all three areas with the release of ARCHIBUS Version 16.3. Among the many user benefits it will deliver are:

  • More Web-like user interface improvements and other advances, including giving a Work Wizard look and feel to Web Central
  • Automatic mini-consoles to allow search and click-to-sort on any field
  • Drill-down index that is superior to next-page, previous-page data searches for faster data search and retrieval
  • More Windows-style forms look and feel, with faster single-form redisplay rather than page-based refresh, and the ability for applications to use tabs, wizards, grids, and other controls

In addition, ARCHIBUS Version 16.3 can export to Excel over the Web. One click of a button can call up a spreadsheet of any table view or any multi-dimensional query view that is currently displayed in your browser.

ARCHIBUS Version 16.3 also provides a wide range of application-related enhancements, including system integration improvements, tabbed dialogs and tabbed Wizard-based forms, editable abstracts, timeline controls for presenting time-based data, and Web Services support – among many other refinements.

An enhanced Room Reservation activity is also featured with the Version 16.3 roll-out. This expanded application now offers Room Reservations functionality that includes setup and breakdown times, per-room availability, room amenities, etc., as well as:

  • Copying and Editing Room Reservations capability
  • Recurring Room Reservations tracking
  • Resources Reservations (catering, AV, etc.)
  • Room Approvals
  • Trade Views (for craftspersons performing catering and setup actions)
  • Management Reports
  • Room Arrangements (different table and furniture layouts for the same room)
